The Cincinnati Zoo has just brought in two 8-week old cougar cubs!! The cougar cubs were born on September 9th. The cubs weigh about 8 and a half pounds. Their names are Tecumseh and Joseph. They also eat about half of their weight in meat. These two little cubs will soon join the zoo’s Cat Ambassador Program. Cougars are the largest of the small cat family. Cougars are also sometimes called pumas, mountain lions, and panthers! They are all very similar in their characteristics and actions. The cougars will grow up to be about 104 to 200 pounds. The two cougar cubs are preparing to be in the Animal Ambassadors Night Hunters exhibit. The exhibit is planned for May! Well, I have to go! Thanks for reading!(:
